Our Story

Milkbar is a New Zealand, family owned and operated business based in a small coastal town of Raglan. Founding the company in 2017, Laura’s vision was to Simplify Motherhood for mums and mums to be.

Personally experiencing the annoyance of expressing milk with outdated technology for her first baby, Laura set out to find, and bring mothers, new innovative technology that made for a more effective, enjoyable, and natural expressing experience - that actually worked.

Milkbar Breast Pumps

Which lead to founding Milkbar, providing Mums breast pumps that mimic the suckle of a baby with the unique soft silicone breast shield. The shield performs the action of massage, squeeze and suck, of both the areola and nipple, instead of merely vacuuming the nipple back and forward like traditional style breast pumps. This action makes Milkbar Breast Pumps more effective and gentle for the user.

We have a growing team, now made up of 6 experienced Mothers who all share the collective vision of ‘Simplifying Motherhood’ for our wonderful customers. Milkbar offers a large range of amazing breastfeeding and baby related products that are thoroughly planned, tried and tested to ensure the very best is on offer for mothers and mothers to be and their families.
